Children and teenagers

I offer a thoughtful and supportive space where children and teenagers can explore their inner world, make sense of their experiences, and develop healthier ways of coping with the challenges they face.Every young person is unique. My work is carefully tailored to the individual needs of each child or adolescent, allowing therapy to unfold at a pace that feels safe and manageable.

How therapy can help

Children and young people often experience emotional distress in ways that are not always easy to recognise.

Some may become anxious, overwhelmed, withdrawn, or low in mood. Others may show their difficulties through behaviour, relationships, or struggles within school.

Psychotherapeutic counselling offers a safe, consistent space where young people can:-

  • Talk openly without fear of judgement

  • Explore feelings and experiences at their own pace

  • Develop emotional awareness and resilience

  • Understand patterns in behaviour and relationships

  • Discover new ways of coping with life’s challenges

Over time, therapy can help reduce distress, strengthen self-understanding, and support healthier emotional development.
