My training and qualifications

I am an experienced Psychotherapeutic Counsellor working with children, adolescents and adults.

I believe that every individual person, no matter what stage of life they are in, has the capacity for growth, healing, and change.

At times, life’s challenges can cause inner resources to feel hidden or difficult to access. Therapy can help bring these strengths back into awareness, allowing new understanding and possibilities to emerge.

  • I am a Psychotherapeutic Counsellor trained in the Humanistic and Integrative tradition:-

  • I am qualified by the IFS Institute to work as a Psychotherapeutic Counsellor using Internal Family Systems with children, adolescents and adults.

  • I have a Diploma in Child & Adolescent Psychotherapeutic Counselling from the Institute of Arts in Therapy & Counselling (IATE).

  • I am accredited by the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP).

  • I hold a current Enhanced DBS Certificate for working with children & vulnerable adults.

  • I have worked as a school counsellor in a number of different schools in the Bath area.

My professional background

Before training as a therapist, I worked in the performing arts. I trained as an actress and singer and hold a Diploma in Musical Theatre from the Royal Academy of Music.

I later spent eighteen years teaching drama to children and young people in schools and workshop settings across the South West. This creative background continues to inform my therapeutic work with young people and often supports them in expressing themselves when words feel difficult to find.
